[edit] Exhaustion

A Unit is Exhausted if it runs low, or run out of fuel and/or ammunition. Exhausted units are very vulnerable and may be destroyed with minimal effort if they are left in battle. It's generally advised to restore a unit before it become exhausted.

To restore an exhausted unit:

Attached Strike wings can be recalled to their parent vessels, they will quickly become operation once they are docked, unless their parent vessels are also exhausted.

Unit can be re-supplied with a logistic unit if a player does not wish to withdraw them. Supplying units can exhaust logistic unit, especially if they are supplying a flagship or another logistic unit.

Exhausted unit that are not attached to other vessels can be withdrawn from the battle. A unit Withdrawn from battle will return to the reinforcement list much faster then a destroyed unit.

[edit] Depletion

A Depleted unit is one that has suffered severe damage. Generally speaking, a unit lost more then half of its modules (either by losing half the vessels in that unit, or losing, in average, half the modules on each vessel, or a combination of both). A Depleted unit may continue to fight with some effectiveness, but restoring them might increase that effectiveness. The method to restore Depleted unit is similar to that of restoring exhausted unit.

To restore a Depleted unit:

A vessel with engineering systems may attempt to repair damaged modules. If most vessel in a unit have not been destroyed and have their engineering systems intact, simply disengage them and allow repairs to be preformed

Attached strike wings can be recalled to parent vessels. Providing the docking and engineering systems on their parents are intact, the flight can be quickly restored.

Unattached units can be repaired with a logistic unit. With proper systems a logistic unit can even salvage vessels that are completely destroyed (but not vaporized). However extensive repair or salvaging of large vessel can quickly exhaust a logistic unit.

A depleted unit may be withdrawn from battle. But they take longer to return to reinforcement queue then intact units, the exact amount of time required depend on number of modules lost.
