“Flagships” are the avatar of the player on the field. Flagships are equipped with a very large number of command system, each command system is connected to the command system of another unit, linking that unit to the flagship, and allowing the player to control it.A unit can also be controlled by being connected to another unit which is connected to a flagship. If the flagship is removed from the battle, either by withdrawing/quitting or by destruction, every unit under its control will be withdrawn as well. Severing A units from its flagship long enough will also cause it to withdraw.

Each faction has three types of flagships - Combat Command Units, Theater Command Units and Specialist Command Unit.

[edit] Type of flagships

Combat Command Unit

The CCU is usually the most powerful unit of the faction. It has limited command ability but compensate by being very capable combatants in their own right. CCUs for several factions are essentially one ship fleets.

Theater Command Unit

The TCU commands bulk of a team’s unit. They usually have powerful communication and sensor systems as well, allowing them to sit back and command the battle from a safe distance. However the weapons on TCU is often designed to support their unit from a long distance and are not well suited for slugfest against entire fleets.

Specialist Command Unit

The SCU commands a faction’s specialists. They don’t have the brutal combat ability of the CCU or the sheer command abilities of TCU. Their designs are tailored to each faction’s play style and are very different from one another.

[edit] Unique flagships

On some maps, flagships of the leader of defensive team (fleet commanders) are replaced by special objects. These don’t have to be vessels; it could be stations, planetary installations, or other construct. These same objects may also serve as defense objective for that team.

On some maps, flagship of the leader of the offensive team is replaced with a unique, extremely powerful vessel that is otherwise available only thru tactical support. Losing it may not result in defeat of the offensive team, but would most defiantly make the battle difficult for them.
