Gameplay Profie

Perhaps the most powerful non-flagship unit of the Coalition, the Phoenix is the paragon of Terran military philosophy - versatile to a fault and work well with just about any other unit. It comes with a TWO tactical weapon slots giving it withering firepower to challenge largest enemies and its cutting edge electronic and drone control allows it to hold space superiority against overwhelming numbers.

Like Most UEC designs, the phoenix is hard pressed to remain combat operational after sustain direct hits. However the phoenix's uncanny ability to launch decoys means like most UEC vehicles, they probably won't ever get hit if they play their cards right.

Phoenix pays a price for its versatility - it is not as effective in any of its roles as more dedicated units. Still, it's unrivaled as a wildcard.

Perhaps the greatest threat to the phoenix is determined attack from assault units - like almost all other UEC designs the phoenix suffers against assault units.

Lore Profile

The Phoenix class was originally planned as en escort carrier (CVE) during the first hunter wars to deter the aliens' raid on the supply lines. However, only four of them completed before the hostilities ended. They are the Phoenix, Fenghuang, Bennu and Huma.

Most Remaining construction project were cancelled, However, The Boarder system Defense Authority Maintained three orders to use them in Law enforcement and Police action. They were the Roc, the Simorgh and the Thunderbird.

During the peace before the second Hunter wars, the Phoenix was resigned Explorer class Utility carrier (CVU). The four surviving vessels in commission were renamed Explorer, Galaxy, Quasar and Frontier, respectively. They became the bane of outlaws everywhere during this period.

The Phoenix classes were used for devastating effect during the opening phase of second hunter war thanks to their versatile payload and enormous cruise range. This caused them to be reassigned again to Frontier Class Attack Carrier (CVA).

The Phoenix can carry missile batteries or tactical lasers, various calibers of plasma weapons and several types of launch bays. Their payload can be tailored for each mission. They could also carry stealth plates to avoid detection, mercury composite to resist kinetic ammunition, and aluminum super insulator to resist thermal radiation. They can also be outfitted with a Heimian Drive allowing them to strike deep behind enemy lines.
