Talk:Coalition Shiplist
From SSNTWiki
There is still difference between frigates and Drones, frigates are about 200 meter long and have crew and on-board fusion reactors. Gunships are frigate SIZED vessels also, but they are less specialized. Gunships are one or two man fighters, frigates also have a tiny crew, but they are ususually specialists :D The "corvette" definition is obsolete and is just merged into the frigate size. The Definition for a frigate is the smallest vessel that can sustain AM-catalyzed fusion.
Unless you want to change the classification again. --Nerdfish 07:50, 25 March 2008 (CET)
That is an acceptable argument. I agree on that; however, the gunship/frigate distinction should be made in the shiplist as well. Color code would be acceptable; maybe even just an asterisk.

How about Just call gunships gunships and frigates frigates :D A few changes: Excalibur and Aegis Moved to DD list. UEC should not be entirely made of long range speed demons IMO. The new concept for Aegis is similar to similar heavy missile ships frond in other games (Drake in Eve, Vagyr Destroyer in HW2) with one catch, they have very strong counter-missile / point defense capability as well, if I can get that to work in engine that is. The new Excalibur will be a dedicated super-heavy siege gun that slaughters orbital defenses (and ships moving in a straight line) like they aren't there :D
Kensai is the latest idea on mustang. A close ranged light attack boat. The Warlock is new - it could equip an immense amount of EWAR systems that keep its enemy chase its own tail. I am working on concept of an infiltrator but staying away from western names can be hard.
Finally, I think this version of the Fighter/Scout will be called Galdius (short sword). Just seemed to be more fitting. of course I won't be terribly bothered if you insist not changing its name. --Nerdfish 04:51, 9 May 2008 (CEST)
Why the aversion from western names? -- Thorin 18:04, 17 May 2008 (CEST)
Adding a few things I just remembered. There is no aversion of western names, just senseless names.
Arsenal - A Carrier with extensive missile capabilities "Long Range" - Denote tactical jump abilities. They could deploy anywhere and jump to any location of the field at will
